Misfit Diamonds has worked hard to create transparency in its practices, and our Mine-to-Market diamonds represent a culmination of a long journey to ensure the diamonds we see are not only traceable, but ethical as well. Misfit's three levels of Provenance (documented traceability) are: (1) Mine-to-Market, (2) Statement of Origin and (3) KPC-Compliant Mixed Origin.

Mine-to-Market diamonds represent collections of Misfit Diamonds with full documented provenance and traceability from rough to polished. Each collection of Mine-to-Market diamonds has accompanying documents such as Kimberley Process Certificates, broker invoices, rough tender purchases and photos and videos of their original rough. Misfit has made a strong push to become a major driver in the industry in terms of traceability and our Mine-to-Market diamonds represent the most exciting steps in this journey.

Statement of Origin Diamonds have limited documentation of origin. As with all Misfit Diamonds, Statement of Origin diamonds are KPC-compliant and are sourced using the highest standards of ethics. These diamonds have known origin, and may have documentation such as Kimberley Process Certificates for rough diamond parcels, redacted invoices, etc., and these documents can be made available upon request.

KPC-Compliant Mixed Origin diamonds have been purchased from legitimate source(s) not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with the United Nations resolutions. These diamonds are conflict free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds, but do not necessarily have documentation of provenance.
