We know it is obvious, but for those who haven’t caught on, our name comes from a celebration of diamonds that don’t fall into the regular grading system. These Misfit diamonds are stones with spice, individuality, and character. They are anything but typical, making them an excellent alternative diamond choice for the bride who likes to challenge traditional norms.

Galaxy Diamond
The graphite crystals are real! The abundance of inclusions feel like you’ve got a tiny piece of the cosmos locked inside a gem, bringing to life your wildest spaceman fantasies (thanks Biff). This particular beauty of a kite cut is translucent, transmitting only a little light through the stone.
Ombré Diamond
The blend of colours throughout this dreamy geometric rose cut looks like mother Nature must’ve opted to use Himalayan salt to flavour this unique misfit. Small traces of nitrogen seeping into this stone is the likely cause for the brown hue, mixed with other trace elements, like speckles of graphite crystals.
Smoky Diamond
These diamonds can range from smoky with light diffusion, to fully opaque. This particular diamond is so smoky that it is nearly opaque, transmitting very little light but still lustrous as ever. Likely, trace elements of nitrogen are the contributing factor to the warm brown hue.
Opalescent Diamond
Shimmery, hazy, and milky are all accurately descriptive words for an opalescent diamond like this one. Sometimes they have muted specks of graphic inclusions glistening through to give a little fairy dust feel to the stone.
Moss Diamond
The greenish-brown pattern appearing throughout this stone connects as if it is one large growth that spreads throughout. This is a secret garden left to be admired by only you and those invited for a closer look .
Granite Diamond
A marbled countertop has a similar look to this shield-cut misfit. Mother Nature's composition of high-density feathers and mineral inclusions make for the textured speckles of orange black, white and grey.
Etch A Sketch
If you’re lucky, you may land on a diamond with a distinct image produced by its impurities. Just like visualizing silhouettes in the clouds, diamond trace elements find themselves making recognizable configurations. Here, we have a diamond with spooky glowing eyes. Trick or treat?

Canadian Diamonds from Gahcho Kué mine
The Gahcho Kué diamond mine is a joint venture between Mountain Province Diamonds, which owns 49% of the project, and De Beers Canada, which holds a 51% interest and is the mine’s operator. The joint venture property is located in the Northwest Territories of Canada, 300 km east-northeast of Yellowknife, on the traditional territories of Tłįchǫ, Dene, and Métis people. The mine site lies on the edge of the continuous permafrost zone in an area known as the barren lands due to its lack of forests.
